Central State Hospital lights up its Christmas tradition again
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An old Christmas tradition at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville is lighting up its quad again.
The hospital had a Christmas display for many years, but due to a recent decline at the hospital and smaller staff the holiday tradition stopped.
Capitol Ideas Consulting owner Walter Reynolds is now rebooting the Christmas light tradition.
“It’s a symbol of hope for the community to see that what was a huge part of our economic engine is not failed. There’s much more to be done at Central State Hospital and we’re proud to be a part of it,” Reynolds said.
Sponsors are helping fund Lights in the Grove. The show is every night from 6 to 10 p.m., until the new year and for the Christmas music to the show, tune into 87.9 FM.
