Central Georgia Technical College recieves grant from Navicent Health

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Navicent Health Foundation presented a $50,000 grant to Central Georgia Technical College.

The money will be used to buy equipment to help with educational training in paramedicine, clinical laboratory technology, medical assisting, practical nursing, and radiologic technology and student scholarships.

Ellen Terrell, with the Navicent  Health Foundation says, “This is our first partnership. We’ve worked closely with them for a number of years, because a lot of the graduates from Central Georgia Technical College are hired at Navicent Health, but this is the first time that we’ve sort of joined in a corporate partnership.”

Navicent Health has also provided clinical space and expert input on health science program advisory boards at the college.
