Byron police officers find bags of kittens, man charged with seven counts of animal cruelty
BYRON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Byron Police arrested a man for several counts of animal cruelty Sunday.
According to a news release, a bag of newborn kittens were found under a table outside the home of Ronald Wade Trawick.
Complaints made by neighbors say Trawick beat his dogs and even killed one.
During a search warrant police found eight dogs and eight cats outside the property and eighteen marijuana plant growing inside the home.
A dog removed from a shallow grave in the backyard was identified by a neighbor as a dog Trawick told someone he killed.
Trawick is facing seven charges of animal cruelty and felony drug charges.
The bag of kittens is being cared for by a veterinarian.
