Buying DQ Blizzards will benefit Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/ WMGT) – It’s a blizzard party, in the rain. The Medical Center, Navicent Health and Dairy Queen are coming together to give patients with a sweet treat.
Tomorrow is Miracle Treat Day. That’s when you can go to a local Dairy Queen and buy a Blizzard and $1 from every blizzard goes to the Children’s Miracle Network.
The network uses that money to build children’s hospitals. So, a day before Miracle Treat Day, local DQ’s gave Blizzards to patients at Navicent’s Children’s Hospital.
“Children have so many needs when they’re here. They still want to play, they want to play with Play-Doh, they want to color with crayons, they want to watch movies, they want to roam up and down these halls and have fun. We want to be sure kids are still being kids even if they are in a hospital,” Children’s Miracle Network The Medical Center, Navicent Health Coordinator Renee Bryan said.
Miracle Treat Day is tomorrow, Thursday, August 2nd and you can buy Blizzards all day long at your local DQ.
The money will go towards local children’s hospitals.
