Man in critical condition after hit-and-run on Broadway in Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was hospitalized after a vehicle struck him and fled the scene Wednesday night.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run that left a man in critical condition Wednesday night on Broadway.

According to a news release, the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center received the call around 10:45 p.m. Witnesses reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The release did not specify where on Broadway the collision happened.

When deputies arrived, they found a man who had been hit. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family.
