Braves Send Linebrink To Disabled List

WASHINGTON – The Atlanta Braves placed right-handed relief pitcher Scott Linebrink on the disabled list Monday because of a lower back strain.

Linebrink is 4-2 with one save, a 2.95 ERA and 42 2-3 innings pitched in 50 appearances for the Braves. The move to the disabled list is retroactive to July 30.

Atlanta also activated Michael Bourn a day after acquiring the outfielder in a trade with the Astros. Bourn was in the lineup as the leadoff hitter against the Washington Nationals on Monday night.
