“Both Hands” help Warner Robins couple adopt West African children while renovating widow’s home
Kevin and Anya Bradford gathered their friends and church members of Friendship Baptist church in Warner Robins Saturday, to help renovate Kristi Dotson’s home. The Bradford and Dotson are members of the church, where Kevin serves as the youth pastor.
Dotson is a widow, who lost her husband five year ago from a brain tumor. She is raising their two daughters alone. While still trying to maintain her home.
The Bradford’s are partnering with “Both Hands”, a non-profit ministry which helps families fund-raise for their adoptions.
Nearly 35 volunteers did all sorts of handy work around the home. They painted, landscaped, remodeled bathrooms and organized the garage of the Lake Joy Road house.
“We’ve been talking about adoption in our church, because God adopted us into His family through Jesus Christ and so that’s what we’re kind of doing through this,” says Kevin Bradford. “Hoping to adopt and showing the gospel, is what we’ve been doing as well.”
Kevin Bradford says the volunteers sent more than 800 letters to various corporation asking for sponsorships during the fundraiser.
“I am overwhelmed that all of these people would come out to help us,” said Dotson.
All of the money that is donated goes directly to their adoption fund.
