Bostick Center brings 225 jobs to Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A new center coming to Central State Hospital in Milledgeville is bringing 225 jobs to the area.

The Correct Life Bostick Nursing Center is scheduled to open in February. The facility is for parolees who suffer from a terminal illness but are stuck in the state’s prison with nowhere else to go. The building will house 280 people.

“The building will consist of 8 wings,” explained the project manager for Garbutt Construction, Phil Best Jr. “There will be patient quarters in all the wings. Your center core will consist of administrative and kitchen area. They’ll try to serve the patients in the rooms.”

This is the first new construction project on Central State Hospital’s campus in more than 100 years.
