Bomb threats made at Macon Waffle House

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating two different bomb threats that occurred at a Waffle House.

According to a new release, the first threat was called into the restaurant, located on Pio Nono Avenue, just before 8:00 a.m. Monday.

A bomb disposal unit searched the building after it was evacuated, and found no evidence of any explosive devices.

A second threat occurred at the same location around 10:00 a.m. Again, the Sheriff’s Department responded by searching the building and once again found no evidence of any explosives.

Investigators believe both calls came from the same person.
