Bomb Threats at Two Macon Locations Believed to Be Related

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police are investigating two bomb threats Friday afternoon at two different locations.

The first threat was called into Coliseum Hospital around 12:55 this afternoon. That threat prompted all non-essential workers to be evacuated while the Macon-Bibb Fire Department performed a building check.

The second happened just down the road at Appling Middle School. The call came into the Bibb County Board of Education just minutes after the threat at the hospital at around 1:15.

Police say they believe the incidents are related and are still investigating.
