Bomb threat at Perdue Farms cleared

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Houston County sheriff’s deputies are now trying to identify who called in a bomb threat.

According to Lt. David Carrick, around 7:25 Wednesday morning the sheriff’s office received an anonymous call about multiple bombs going off every hour in the Perdue Farms area.

“We evacuated the warehouse and had K-9 dogs search for explosives,” Carrick says. “We did not find any and the on-site investigation is over.”

Workers went back in the building around 11 a.m. 41NBC could not reach Perdue Farms for comment.
