Woman hospitalized after vehicle hits Monroe County fire station

Deputies say the vehicle went off the road, crossed railroad tracks and hit the fire station.

BOLINGBROKE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 70-year-old Twiggs County woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday after her vehicle left the roadway in Bolingbroke and hit Monroe County Fire Station 4.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle went off the road, crossed the railroad tracks and struck the building. The woman’s injuries are described as non-life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
