UPDATE: Body found in west Macon ruled suicide

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a body deputies found on Eisenhower Parkway in a wooded area near the Farmer’s Market.

They found the body in what they say looked like a ‘makeshift camp site’. The victim was identified  as Jerry Alonzo,23, of Macon.

His death was ruled as a suicide. The victim had a self inflicted gunshot wound.

The body was decomposed, so investigator’s are waiting to confirm whether the victim is male or female.
