Bobcat baseball joins fight against hunger

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GC ATHLETICS) – The Georgia College baseball team is set to join Bobcats Against Hunger’s campaign Friday, March 13 during the Bobcats’ contest against Columbus State University at 4 p.m.

The organization is raising funds and awareness for this cause, a Georgia College movement that is partnering with Feeding Children Everywhere to meet the needs of the one in six children stricken by hunger in the United States.

At Friday’s game, Bobcats Against Hunger will take over the roll of the dice, a raffle to raise funds for their organization.

Later this year, participants—including Bobcat student-athletes—will be hand-packaging 50,000 healthy meals that will be distributed to hungry children and families in the Milledgeville and Baldwin County area through the US Hunger Program.

The charitable event will take place Sunday April 26, from 2 to 4 p.m., and participants will be working in one-to-two hour shifts.
