MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will climb into the upper 90s and low triple digits this weekend as rain odds become negligible.

This Evening

What has been a pretty hot and partly cloudy day will see mostly clear skies through the evening and into the night. A stray shower will be possible through the evening, however rain is not expected overnight. It will be a calm night with light wind flowing from the west-southwest. Lows will likely be in the mid 70s for much of the region, or a couple of degrees above average.

Tomorrow

Mostly sunny skies are anticipated for Saturday with highs that will largely reach the upper 90s, however a couple of triple digits cannot be ruled out. Real feels will reach over 100 across the region. As of now a Heat Advisory is in effect for the eastern half of the region through 8pm EDT tomorrow night, however that may get expanded to the whole region and could also be extended in duration. While a stray shower or storm is possible, rain will be hard to come by.

Overnight will be mostly clear with lows expected in the mid to upper 70s, or a few degrees above average. Wind will be light from the west-northwest.

Sunday and Beyond

Sunday will see more locations around Middle Georgia push into the triple digits for highs with the rest topping off just below that. Real feels will be over 105 for most of the region. The Heat Advisory will either be extended to account for this, or an Extreme Heat Warning may be issued instead. Rain is not expected as wind will be light from the northwest.

The heat will continue into the new work week, however rain chances should start to return some Monday afternoon. Throughout next week temperatures should slowly taper off, and a bit of added cloud cover and rain chances should aid in that.
