Tyrik Wynn holds the position of Anchor and Reporter at 41NBC News. In his current role, he anchors the station’s weekday morning Daybreak newscasts from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and contributes to the evening newscasts. He is eager to connect with communities across Middle Georgia to share their stories.

A proud graduate of Georgia State University, Tyrik began his journalism career as a news anchor for Panther Report News and host of The Signal In A Minute. He also served two terms as president of the university’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, where he focused on mentorship and diversity in the newsroom. Shortly after graduation, he made history as the youngest on-air talent at iHeartRADIO’s Black Information Network, earning a reputation for sharp reporting and thoughtful interviews as a national anchor and reporter.

Tyrik has interviewed a wide range of high-profile figures across politics, sports, and entertainment—including Ludacris, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Michael Strahan, Senator Raphael Warnock, and Patrick Mahomes. His work has earned him several awards, including the Atlanta Press Club’s Award of Excellence for Best Podcast.

Beyond broadcasting, Tyrik serves as Chair of the NABJ Digital Journalism Task Force and Vice President of Digital for the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists. He also appears on national true-crime series such as TV ONE’s Fatal Attraction and Oxygen’s Snapped. Whether reporting on breaking news, telling in-depth stories, or producing digital content, Tyrik Wynn is helping to shape the future of modern journalism.
