Bikers pedal through 3 counties for Autism

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More than 100 bikers put their feet to the pedal Saturday to bring awareness to Autism.

The bikers made a pit stop in Upson County, where they enjoyed a brief break, water and light refreshments.

Participants in the third annual event left from Sandy Beach Park in Macon, choosing between an 18, 33, 66 or 100 mile course.

“I love to ride and especially like to ride when I can help other people,” says Betty Jean Jordan.

All of the proceeds for the 2015 Journey for Autism bike ride will help provide scholarships and other services for Middle Georgians with Autism.
