Bibb Schools interim superintendent to throw out first pitch at Central game Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – He worked at Central High School from 1982 to 2000 as a teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal.

Dr. E. Steven Smith’s long tenure at the school had an obvious impact.  In 2009, the baseball field was named in his honor, but no plaque or sign was ever placed there.  That’s set to change Wednesday when the school rededicates the field to Smith at 4:45 before the Chargers take on Wilkinson County.

Smith is scheduled to throw out the first pitch for the game, which starts at 5.
