Bibb Schools CTAE Director wins National Administrator of the Year
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) selected Dr. Cassandra Miller-Washington for the award. Dr. Miller-Washington was named Region II CTAE Administrator of the Year earlier this fall. She went on to the regional competition after being named Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education’s State Administrator of the Year at the association’s conference last summer, according to the Bibb County School District.
Dr. Miller-Washington moved to Macon after graduating from Tuskegee University in 1994 to work as the Manager of Campus Dining for Aramark at Mercer University. Dr. Miller-Washington started working at Northeast High School in 2002. She was named Northeast’s Teacher of the Year for the 2004-2005 school year. In 2007, Dr. Miller-Washington moved to Central High School to revamp the marketing program. She took over as the Director of the CTAE Department in December 20012.
