Bibb deputies walk through Unionville neighborhood to promote safety
Thursday evening they walked through the Unionville neighborhood. They started at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Straight Street for the first Walk for Safety event. Deputies handed out backpacks, offered snacks to children, and talked to residents to find out their ideas to keep the neighborhood safe.
“We’re going to be doing this all across Bibb County. We want to know what the people need from the Sheriff’s Office and we also want to bring the message that we are here for the community and we’re here for this neighborhood as well as all the neighborhoods in our community,” said Sheriff Davis.
Sheriff Davis hopes to walk a neighborhood once a week.
