Bibb deputies search for suspect wanted in armed robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a suspect who robbed a man at Robins Federal Credit Union on May 29.

The incident happened just before 11:00 p.m. at the Log Cabin Drive location. Reports say the victim was at the ATM when a man approached him, pointing a gun at him while demanding money.

After the victim told the suspect he did not get cash out, the suspect fired one shot into the ground and threatened him.

The victim withdrew $200.00 and gave it to the suspect. The suspect ran off with the cash and the victim’s wallet.

The suspect is described as male, last seen wearing a blue hoodie with a blue bandana covering his face.

The victim told deputies prior to the robbery, a white or silver SUV was driving slowly through the parking lot.
