Bibb deputies investigating west Macon hotel robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened Friday night at a motel on Harrison Road.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, it was reported around 9:37 p.m. at the American’s Best Inn, located at 4991 Harrison Road. Witnesses say a masked man entered the business with a gun and demanded money from the register.

After getting money, the suspect ran in an unknown direction. It is unclear whether he left on foot or in a vehicle, according to the release.

Deputies described the suspect as wearing dark-colored pants and a sweatshirt, with a mask covering his face.
