Bibb deputies arrest man for credit card theft

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Crimestoppers tip led to the arrest of a Macon man wanted for stealing a wallet from a Macon grocery store.

The sheriff’s office says 20-year-old Demonte Shaquille Slaughter is charged with credit card theft and 12 counts of credit card transaction fraud.

Authorities asked for the public’s help to identify a man they say stole a wallet from the Kroger on Tom Hill Senior Boulevard back on September 26.

As of Tuesday evening, Slaughter is booked in the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office with a $38,350 bond.
