Bibb deputies make arrest in connection with February shooting at dollar store

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says a suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting at a dollar store earlier this year that resulted in a person being struck by gunfire.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting at a dollar store earlier this year.

According to the sheriff’s office, Daveion Deshun Hopkins was arrested on June 21 in connection with a February 17 shooting at Family Dollar on Houston Avenue that resulted in a female being struck by gunfire.

Deputies say Hopkins was taken into custody following the execution of an arrest warrant at a home on Baxter Avenue.

Hopkins is charged with aggravated assault.
