Bibb deputies arrest 16 people during ‘street sweep’

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Sixteen people were arrested on various charges during a “street sweep” operation conducted by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and the Superior Court Probations Office.

According to news release, the operation was held Thursday night in various areas across Bibb County in order to combat criminal activity. The sheriff’s office says arrest warrants were served, driver safety checks were conducted, and probations officers helped identify any probationers.

Several traffic citations were issued, one stolen vehicle was found, and 16 people were arrested on a variety of charges including DUI, driving on without a license, and possession of marijuana.
