Deputies: Man and woman hurt in unrelated Bibb County shootings

Deputies say the shootings happened hours apart and are unrelated.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies are investigating two separate shootings that injured a man and a woman in Bibb County on Thursday night, according to an email provided by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the first shooting happened at 8:45 p.m. at Chamber’s Cove Apartments. Deputies found a 31-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a medical facility for treatment and has since been discharged.

At 11:31 p.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of Willingham Court for a report of a person shot. The sheriff’s office said deputies found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a medical facility and is listed in stable condition.

According to the sheriff’s office, the shootings are unrelated and are under investigation.
