Bibb County sheriff’s deputy arrested for DUI

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County deputy was arrested in Peach County for driving while intoxicated.

According to a police report, Peach County deputies found Tommy Thomas passed out in the front seat of a Bibb County patrol car at the intersection of Housers Mill Road and Russell Parkway.

Thomas appeared to be intoxicated and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. After a blood and breathalyzer test he was taken to the Peach County Jail and charged with drinking under the influence.

Thomas says  he drove to the area he was found after an argument with his girlfriend.

He has been fired from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
