Bibb County murder suspect arrested in Texas
A fifth arrest has been made in connection to a Bibb County murder of a Sheriff’s Office employee.
KILLEEN, Texas (41NBC/WMGT) -A man wanted for a Bibb County murder is in jail in Killeen, Texas.
22-year-old Curtis Dewayne Jackson Jr. was wanted in connection to the October shooting that killed Vernard Mays, a 23-year-old Bibb County Sheriff’s Office employee.
A Crimestoppers tip led investigators to believe Jackson was possibly in Killeen. The police department there picked him up on the murder warrant Sunday afternoon.
Jackson was taken to the Killeen City Jail, where is awaiting extradition to Macon.
Four others have been arrested in this case.
