Inmate injured in fight inside Bibb County jail

Deputies say it happened Monday afternoon.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — An inmate was injured during a fight inside the Bibb County jail Monday afternoon and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just before 5 p.m. Deputies say inmates were involved in a “physical altercation” that led to one of them receiving non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office says the inmate is in stable condition.
