Bibb County deputies searching for missing 87-year-old woman
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding 87-year-old Mattie Brooks.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding 87-year-old Mattie Brooks, who has been reported missing from her home in Macon.
Deputies responded just before midnight Tuesday to a home in the 4000 block of Buckner Avenue, after Brooks’ family reported she hadn’t returned from a meeting she left for earlier that afternoon around 1 p.m.
According to investigators, Brooks was last seen wearing a gray jumpsuit. She is described as five-foot-two, weighing around 215 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. Family members told deputies she does not have any known medical conditions.
Brooks was last seen driving her white Cadillac CTS with Georgia tag PD08C3, though it’s unclear where she was headed. Deputies have issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for both Brooks and her vehicle.
