It started May 24 when a Land Rover Discovery allegedly racing another vehicle on Pio Nono Avenue refused to stop for a traffic check, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

The video provided by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office shows the deputy giving Askew nearly a dozen commands and warnings before deploying a taser to subdue him. Askew, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment, faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing and eluding, felony obstruction, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He also has several outstanding warrants in Houston County.
An 18-year-old passenger, Zanoah J. Mosley, was also taken into custody and charged with felony fleeing and eluding and misdemeanor obstruction.
