Bibb County Sheriff’s Office seeks help after store clerk shot in robbery
Armed robbery at Houston Road Citgo leaves store clerk hospitalized; suspect sought by authorities

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery early Monday morning at a convenience store where a clerk was shot and hospitalized.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, it happened at the Citgo gas station at 5642 Houston Road shortly after 4 a.m. Witnesses told deputies a masked individual, dressed in all dark clothing and a face mask, entered the store and demanded money.
“He attempted to climb over the store counter but the store clerk pushed him back over,” the release stated.
During the struggle, deputies say the suspect shot the clerk once. The clerk was taken to a local hospital and is now in stable condition after being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
The suspect ran. Deputies released a surveillance photo of him, which is attached.
