Sheriff’s Office announces free Christmas event for Bibb County kids

Families can stop by the Outreach and Restorative Justice Center for toys, treats and photos with Santa on December 6.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it will host “A Candyland Christmas” on Saturday, December 6, for children who live in Bibb County.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Outreach and Restorative Justice Center on Hazel Street.

The sheriff’s office says the event is free for children ages 4 to 14, and each child must be present with a parent or guardian to receive a gift. Toys will be given out while supplies last. The release says children can also receive free sweets, treats and books provided by Book’Em.

The sheriff’s office encourages families with questions to contact the Outreach Section at (478) 803-2710. Families can also take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus during the event, according to the release.
