Bibb authorities respond to smoke at Macon motel

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and the Macon-Bibb Fire Department responded to a motel Wednesday night after someone reported smoke coming from a vacant room.

According to Deputy Clay Williams, the call came in around 9 p.m. at the Liberty Inn on Pio Nono Avenue.

Williams says the smoke was coming from room 231. Authorities determined the smoke was coming from construction materials.
