BCSO: Macon man charged after resisting arrest, shoving deputy
A Macon man is in custody after deputies say he resisted arrest and shoved a deputy early Thursday morning.

UPDATE (10/11/24): Tiynaan Hillard is now in the Bibb County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office. He’s charged with terroristic threats, simple battery on a law enforcement officer and felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man is in custody after deputies say he resisted arrest and shoved a deputy early Thursday morning.
According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, a call came in just before 7 a.m. reporting 30-year-old Tiynaan Hillard was “irate” inside Murphy Express on Gray Highway. The caller told deputies Hillard had a firearm.
A deputy arrived and reported Hillard was brandishing the firearm at store employees in front of the business. He was ordered to drop the weapon, and when he did, the deputy tried to take him into custody. That led to Hillard resisting arrest and shoving the deputy, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hillward was taken into custody after a “physical altercation” and with the assistance of additional deputies. He was taken to a medical facility to receive treatment for “minor injuries.” The deputy was also treated for “minor injuries.”
