Baldwin Deputies Searching for Man Wanted for Financial Identity Theft

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office needs your help to find a man who is wanted for financial identity theft.

Capt. Brad King tells 41NBC the man in the surveillance photos is accused cashing fake checks using real MidSouth Credit Union account numbers. King says there are at least three victims in Baldwin County with the possibility of more. He adds this suspect could be connected to a similar crime at a MidSouth branch in Macon.

King says he is cashing the fake checks in Canton, Georgia, that is north of Atlanta. King says the sheriff’s office has reached out to other law enforcement agencies to try and identify the man.

The sheriff’s office started working this case a month ago after the first victim came forward.
