Baldwin County firefighters collect toys during 2014 “Kids Yule Love” toy drive

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some Middle Georgia fire fighters are collecting toys to help make this Christmas merrier for nearly 250 children.

“If it wasn’t for this toy drive all those children wouldn’t receive toys on Christmas morning,” says Baldwin County Fire Investigator, Billy Benzur.

The fire department is collecting toys during its 5th annual “Kids Yule Love” campaign. Firefighters are collecting unwrapped toys in designated boxes across the county.

“We have local businesses and organizations that are doing a great job for us with these boxes where, for the next month they’re all collecting toys.”

People can drop off toys at various locations in Baldwin County, such as Green Pastures Baptist Church, Century Bank, Exchange Bank, Elite Gymnastics the Lemon Tree, and at any Baldwin County fire station.

Families can apply for the toys through the Baldwin County Department of Family and Children Services.

You can also drop off toys at any Baldwin County fire station.
