Baldwin County 911 Dispatchers honored with luncheon

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office honored its dispatchers during a luncheon Thursday.

There are 11 dispatchers who handle nearly 250,000 911 calls a year.

Sheriff Bill Massee says the dispatchers make the first contact with the public before first responders arrive on the scene. He added they are the lifeline for his office.

“It’s amazing that the volume of work that these people do with us and we are extremely proud of them,” says Sheriff Massee. “We’re glad we can celebrate with them and provide them a luncheon today.”

The sheriff’s office also honored its administrative assistants during the luncheon.
