MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia will see seasonable conditions the middle of this week before major heat takes over to end it.

Mostly sunny skies are likely this evening as temperatures largely remain in the 80s while the sun is out. It will be a below average night again with low temperatures falling into the mid 60s ahead of Wednesday morning. While scattered clouds are likely overnight, no rain is expected. Wind will be gentle out of the northeast.

Tomorrow

Middle Georgia will see temperatures climb into the low to mid 90s in the afternoon as scattered clouds populate the skies. Winds will come from the east-southeast at about 5-10 mph. Rain is unlikely, however a stray shower or storm cannot be ruled out in the late afternoon/evening.

Thursday and Beyond

While afternoon temperatures Thursday will only reach the low to mid 90s, a major jump is expected to end the week as Friday sees highs in the upper 90s/potentially triple digits, and then Saturday sees triple digits across most of Middle Georgia. This will be dangerous heat where hydration and staying out of the sun are crucial to staying safe. Mid to upper 90s will carry into the start of next week as the overall pattern remains partly to mostly sunny.
