Auto Auction includes vintage and classic cars

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Rolls Royce, vintage cars and former police cars are among the more than 50 autos being auction off Saturday.

The bidding begins 9 a.m., at T. Lynn Davis Auction Company, located at 4459 Broadway in Macon. Buyers looking for classic cars, hot rods, vintage trucks or even motorcycles will roam from car to car in search of the best value.

Classic cars including a 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo will go on the auction block, along with a 1981 Rolls Royce. It only has eighteen thousand miles.

People looking to bid on a vehicle will have to bring the money on Saturday, to pay for the vehicle the same day.

“We got confiscated vehicles from Bibb County, patrol cars and investigator cars,” says President and owner of T Lynn Davis auction company, Jim Davis. “We got cars from public works. We’ve got some equipment from public works. somebody probably get a deal on a car.”

OTher items being auction off include guns and ATV’s.

Davis says some of the proceeds from the auction will be used by Bibb County to purchase new sheriff’s cars.
