Authorities investigating deadly shooting in Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –   A man is dead and another one is hurt following a shooting inside a Milledgeville apartment.

It happened at the Cedar Ridge Apartments on Frank Bone Road.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects were unsuccessful at breaking into the home from the front door and started firing more than 10 shots to get in through the back sliding door.

Deputies say four people were inside the home when the shooting happened.

A man was hit in the arm while lying in the bed and has since been released from the hospital.

Another man was found dead in the master bathroom.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on the victim.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting with this case.
