Atrium Health Navicent, community partners to hold produce giveaway in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Atrium Health Navicent and several community partners will host a drive-thru food distribution event Friday at Central Georgia Technical College.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the college’s campus located at 3300 Macon Tech Drive in Macon on June 12.

Fresh fruits and vegetables will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Organizers are asking participants to enter the campus by vehicle through Macon Tech Drive and follow directional signs to the drive-thru pick-up line.

According to Atrium Health Navicent, volunteers distributed more than 105,000 pounds of fresh produce to 2,000 vehicles during the event in 2025. Each family received a 40-pound box of food.

Community partners participating in the distribution include Central Georgia Technical College, the Society of St. Andrew, the Southeast Produce Council and Horace Holmes Ministries.
