UPDATE: Arrest made after man found with stab wound, head injury in Macon roadway

Deputies say Brock Fowler was found in the roadway with injuries and later died at the hospital.

UPDATE: Bibb County investigators made an arrest in connection with Monday’s death investigation on Pine Valley Drive.

According to a news release, patrol deputies made contact with a person of interest in the 400 block of Poplar Street “shortly after the incident.”

Deputies took the person to investigators headquarters, and after further investigation, 49-year-old Eric Scott of Macon was arrested. He was taken to the Bibb County Jail just before 9 p.m. He’s charged with murder and is being held without bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found unresponsive with a stab wound and head injury in the roadway along Pine Valley Drive Monday night.

Deputies responded to the 4700 block of Pine Valley Drive at 5:40 p.m. after the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received a report of an unresponsive person, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived, they found 35-year-old Brock Fowler unresponsive in the roadway.

Paramedics took Fowler to a the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
