UPDATE: 20-year-old arrested in Macon shooting that wounded 5 men

UPDATE (9/25/26): A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Wednesday night’s shooting near Anthony Road and Mercer University Drive that left five men wounded, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as Treyvon Antwan Deshazier. Deputies say they arrested Deshazier on a warrant Friday morning and took him to the Criminal Investigation Division for questioning before taking him to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Deshazier is charged with four counts of aggravated assault, unlawful gang conduct, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a machine gun. He is being held without bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Five men are in stable condition after a shooting Wednesday night near Anthony Road and Mercer University Drive, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 8:53 p.m. Deputies responded after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and reports of gunfire in the area.
The sheriff’s office says the five victims later arrived at local medical facilities in personal vehicles. The victims include a 23-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and three 18-year-old men.
Video shared by the sheriff’s office on Facebook showed a car at Atrium Health Navicent surrounded by crime scene tape. The car had a shattered window and several apparent bullet holes across its body.
The sheriff’s office did not provide additional information about the car or explain how it was connected to the shooting.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting.
