Arrest made in shooting death of Mercer University basketball player

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection to the shooting death of 23-year-old Jibri Bryan

According to a news release, deputies arrested Jarvis Clinton Miller. A warrant for Miller’s arrest states he shot Bryan while he was sitting in a car and fled the scene.

Miller was wearing clothing fitting the description given by witnesses. Witnesses also say they saw Miller carrying a handgun.

Miller was found on Orange Street. He’s charged with felony murder.

Deputies also found a car from the scene on Orange Terrace.

The vehicle has been taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab.

The fatal shooting is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
