Another lovely day Friday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will stay below average with pleasant breezes Friday afternoon.
This Evening
A sunny afternoon will give way to a clear night around Middle Georgia. Some clouds are expected to move through the area overnight tonight however, so it will not stay clear. It should still be the coolest night of the week however as much of the region drops below 60 degrees. Wind will remain quite brisk at 7-12 mph with gusts over 15 mph.
Tomorrow
While plenty of sunshine is expected for Friday around the region there will be scattered clouds overhead throughout the day. Highs will hover around 80 degrees with wind from the northeast at 6-13 mph. Gusts will reach over 20 mph through the afternoon and the evening.
Overnight more clouds are likely to move in ahead of Saturday morning. Overnight lows will hover around 60 degrees as breezes of 5-11 mph continue from the northeast. Gusts will still push over 15 mph as well.
This Weekend and Beyond
A bit more clouds are likely Saturday as highs mainly reach the lower 80s. A couple of stray showers will be possible however overall rain odds are low. Wind will be quite strong from the east-northeast at 5-15 mph. Gusts will range from 20-25 mph.
Rain odds will climb more Sunday as a low in the Gulf churns to the southwest. This will lead to scattered thunderstorms and showers through the afternoon and evening on Sunday. The wet conditions will carry into next week.
The Tropics
There are two areas to monitor in the Atlantic with one being just southwest of Georgia/west of Florida in the Gulf. This will lead to rain over the coming weekend and into next week. Way further east just off the west coast of Africa is another area to monitor. Both areas have 20% or less odds to become depressions within the next 7 days.
