UPDATE (8/10/26): The Georgia Department of Corrections said Monday in response to a 41NBC inquiry from last week that a former Washington State Prison officer has been terminated following her arrest.

“As we continue to demonstrate, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for individuals who choose to ignore their oath and jeopardize our non-negotiable mission of public safety,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “The actions of this individual does not reflect the hundreds of officers who are committed each and every day to ensuring the safety of the public and the safe operations of our facilities.”

ORIGINAL STORY (8/7/26):

DAVISBORO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Washington State Prison officer was arrested Friday on charges including improper sexual contact and violation of oath by a public officer.

24-year-old Alexis Lambry also faces a charge of items prohibited for inmate possession, according to state warrants provided to 41NBC by Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.

That’s all the information we have right now.

41NBC also contacted the Georgia Department of Corrections for more information but has not received a response.
