The Country Music Hall of Fame group will perform May 7 with Jamey Johnson as special guest.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Country music legends Alabama are coming to Macon this spring, with a live concert scheduled for Thursday, May 7 at Atrium Health Amphitheater.
According to a news release from Live Nation, the show will feature special guest Jamey Johnson. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 23 at 10 a.m.
The band, made up of cousins Randy Owen, Jeff Cook and Teddy Gentry, rose from small-town beginnings in Fort Payne, Alabama, to become one of the most successful groups in country music history. After spending years playing for tips at The Bowery in Myrtle Beach, Alabama went on to help push country music into the mainstream with arena-style production, rock-influenced sound and a long run of chart-topping hits.
Over the course of their career, Alabama has sold more than 80 million albums and recorded 43 No. 1 singles, including 21 consecutive chart-toppers. The group has earned hundreds of major industry awards, including CMA, ACM and Grammy honors, and has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. They were also named the RIAA’s Country Group of the Century.
In addition to their musical success, the band is known for extensive charitable work, raising hundreds of millions of dollars for various causes.
