U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds roar into Middle Georgia

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC News/WMGT) – The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew into Middle Georgia. They are getting ready to perform at the Thunder Over Georgia Air Show this weekend.

The event Saturday and Sunday will be held at Robins Air Force Base. Six Thunderbird pilots will scream through the sky at more than five hundred miles per hour.

The Thunderbirds flew in from Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. They will perform formations, rolls and loops. Pilots say in some cases they will fly within three feet of each other.

Major Nick Krajicek said he hopes to inspire the crowd, “I want them to walk away seeing the U.S. Air Force  is here to demonstrate the pride and professionalism and precision of the entire U.S Air Force.”

More than 200,000 people are expected to attend the Thunder Over Georgia Air Show.
