Advisory committee created to discuss voting precinct changes

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Board of Elections formed an advisory committee to discuss the possible changes to the county’s voting locations.

Residents wanted to be able to voice their opinion on the changes.

Due to budget restrictions counties in the state of Georgia are looking to combine or reduce the number of precincts.

Elections Supervisor Jeanetta Watson says the board of elections wants to include residents in their decision because of the impact the change will have.

The committee will meet again on March 9.
